Why do we stand to sing?

Neh. 9:3-5 - And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the Lord their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed and worshipped the lord their God.........Stand up and bless the Lord your God forever and ever; and blessed be thy glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.

Psalm 135:1-3 - Praise ye the Lord.  Praise ye the name of the Lord; praise him, O ye servants of the Lord.  Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God.  Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good; sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

Why do we believe in speaking in unknown tongues?

Acts 2:4 - And they were filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Sprit gave them utterance.

I Cor. 12:7-10 - But to the manifestation of the Sprit is given to every man to profit withal.  For one is given by the Spirit the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Sprit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers of kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.

I Cor. 14:5, 27, 39 - I would tell that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied; for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.  If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.  Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

Why does the whole church pray at once for specific needs?

Acts 4:24 - And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is.
