Standing Against The Attack Let's face it -- at one time or another most of us encounter some type of personal unwarranted attack from people who Satan uses to try and stop your walk or work in the Kingdom of Christ through jealousy, envy, spite or just plain meanness!. Realize first that you are not fighting against them personally. If you are a blood-bought believer, you are obligated to stand against such attacks while staying in God's will. Should you find yourself in that situation, here are some great scripture exercises: Put
God First "But
seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given
to you." Matthew 6:33 "I
love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.
With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity."
Proverbs 8:17-18
God's
Commandment To Be Strong and Courageous "Be
strong and very courageous. Be
careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to
the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth;
meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything
written in it. Then you will be
prosperous and successful. Have I
not commanded you? Be strong and
courageous. Do not be terrified, do
not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you
go." Joshua 1:7-9 Commit to Remain in Your Heritage! No
weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises
against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the
servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me," Says
the LORD. Isaiah 54:17 NKJV Pray For Yourself (Use Psalm 35!) Psalm 35 NIV
God
Already Knows The Heart Of Those Who Oppress You "For
I know how many are your offenses and how great your sins. You oppress the righteous and take bribes and you deprive the
poor of justice in the courts." Amos 5:12 Acknowledge
That ONLY God Will Be The One To Bring Your Enemies
To Justice "A
scoundrel and villain, who goes about with a corrupt mouth, who winks with his
eye, signals with his feet and motions with his fingers, who plots evil and
deceit in his heart -- he always stirs up dissension.
Therefore disaster will overtake him in an instant; he will suddenly be
destroyed -- without remedy. There
are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a
lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked
schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out
lies, a man who stirs up dissension among brothers."
Proverbs 6:12-19 "This
is the love for God: to obey his commands.
And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes
the world. This is the victory that
has overcome the world, even our faith. Who
is it that overcomes the world? Only
he who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."
I John 5:4-5 You
Have Already Overcome If You Look To The Lord "This
is the love for God: to obey his commands.
And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes
the world. This is the victory that
has overcome the world, even our faith. Who
is it that overcomes the world? Only
he who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."
I John 5:4-5 "You
dear children, are from God and have overcome them (the evil spirits), because
the one who is in you is greater than who is in the world."
I John 4:4 Choose
To Forgive "For
if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also
forgive you. But if you do not
forgive men of their sins, your Father will not forgive you." Matthew 6:14-15 Persevere
In Prayer "Ask
and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be
opened to you. For everyone who
asks receives; he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks the door will be
opened." Matthew 7:7-8 It's
One Way Or The Other "No
one can serve two masters. Either
he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and
despise the other. You cannot serve
both God and money." Matthew
6:24 Everything
Is Eternal "Do
not store up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy, and
where thieves break in and steal. But
store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy,
and where thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Matthew 6:19-21 All
Good Things Come From God "You
may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced
wealth for me. But remember the
Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so
confirms his covenant which he swore to your forefathers." Deuteronomy 8:17 Accept
Victory Over Your Enemies Humbly "Do
not gloat when your enemy falls; when he stumbles, do not let your heart
rejoice, or the Lord will see and disapprove and turn his wrath away from
him." Proverbs 24:17 Future
Wisdom "Do
not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate with one easily
angered, or you may learn his ways and get yourself ensnared."
